Committees:

LHNA has five standing committees: Marketing Communications, NRP, Crime & Safety, Environment and Zoning & Planning. A brief summary and committee contact information can be found below:

Marketing Communications
Chairperson:  Brian Austin, communications@lowryhillneighborhood.org or events@lowryhillneighborhood.org

The marketing communications committee oversees all communication between the Lowry Hill Board and the residents of Lowry Hill.  It manages the website, print communications, surveys, and plans LHNA events.  Attend a meeting: last Tuesday of the month, 7:30 p.m. Hallaway residence.

Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP)
Chairperson: Open, nrp@lowryhillneighborhood.org

The NRP committee oversees the management and disbursement of Lowry Hill's Neighborhood Revitalization Funds and the development of NRP strategies.  Meeting time and location to be announced.

Crime & Safety
Chairperson: Open

The Crime & Safety committee works to keep our neighborhood safe for all residents.  It communicates crime alerts, works to develop programs that promote safety, and recruits block club leaders.                                                

Environment
Chairperson: Craig Wilson, environment@lowryhillneighborhood.org

The Environment committee works closely with the Minneapolis Park Board and promotes and works to keep Lowry Hill green.  Trees, parks, and green space in general are important to residents.  The committee works with The Blake School to organize the annual Spring Lake clean-up.      Attend a meeting:  third Tuesday of the month, 8:30 a.m., Caribou Coffee, 2300 Hennepin Avenue South, 612.374.2884.

Zoning & Planning
Chairperson (Zoning): David Weinstein, zoning@lowryhillneighborhood.org

The Zoning & Planning committee reviews zoning-related applications and recommends action to the board, monitors development plans of the city, park board, and developers, and takes a proactive approach towards zoning issues in the neighborhood.                                                                                     Attend a meeting: third Thursday of the month, 8:00 a.m., Kenwood Deli, 2115 West 21st Street, 612.377.6876.
